YouTuber Found Real Life Neverland And You Can Visit For Free If Your Name Is Peter Or Wendy
This is so great.
YouTube channel ‘The Film Theorists’ have used their time oh-so-valuably (not even being sarcastic), and tracked down the IRL location of Peter Pan’s Neverland - and now you can win a free trip there… if you’re name is Peter or Wendy.
Hit play on the video to virtually cycle, hike and raft your way through Machu Picchu...
Allow us to explain. The Film Theorists claim they were able to pinpoint Neverland using details from J.M Barrie’s book and the 1953 animated film, which include London landmarks showing the Peter Pan’s flight path, and ‘directions’ like “second star to the right, and straight on till morning”.
They also analysed the wildlife and plants in illustrations of Neverland, and Captain Hook’s history with Blackbeard the Pirate to consolidate the location, and landed on… Turneffe Atoll, off the coast of Belize.
That’s not even the best part though, because what’s even better is that the Belize tourism board are fully embracing the new ‘discovery’, by offering a free, five-day holiday to Turneffe for two lucky, lucky people - as long as their names are Peter, and Wendy. Incredible.
So if one of those is your name, you better hurry up and find an appropriately named friend/partner, then email BelizeNeverland@gmail.com by May 14, 2018 to be entered into the draw. Good luck, and may you never grow up. Or something.
