TRAX GAME RULES - HOW TO PLAY

Each game of TRAX lasts for approximately 20 minutes and at the end of each game, one player who has entered the correct code will win a cash prize.

The game consists of an MP3-style player showing a 4 digit code. The aim of the game is to work out the sequence of numbers that is the correct 4 digit code. Each digit is a number between 0 and 9.

At the start of each game, the application will display an MP3-style player with a lock that needs a 4 digit code to be opened. A clock will count down the amount of time left to play the game and the cash prize on offer will also be displayed.

To play, you need to text the word TRAX followed by a space plus the four digit code that you think unlocks the code: e.g. TRAX 1564, and send it to the short code 84383. Each text costs £1.00 plus one message at the player’s standard message rate.

To win you must first identify the correct code then a winner will be picked at random from all the viewers who entered the correct code. The winners’ player ID or nickname will be displayed on screen at the end of each game.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

"You" or "Your" refers to you, the customer and user of the Services. By using the Services You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

1. This TRAX text to screen interactive code cracker ('Game') is organised by or on behalf of MTV Networks Europe (“MTV”), 17-29 Hawley Crescent, London, NW1 8TT

2. By playing the Game you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

3. TRAX is a multiplayer game where the player works out the four digit code which unlocks the MP3 Player by texting TRAX followed by a four digit code e.g. TRAX 1564 and send it to the short code 84383.

4. The player will receive a return message that tells them if their entry was correct or incorrect. If the player has sent in an incorrect code, the return message will contain clues to help crack the code. If the player has guessed the code correctly they will told they have made a correct entry and will be entered into the prize draw.

5. If you are an O2, Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile, 3 or Virgin network customer, each Game message will be charged at your standard network rate plus £1.00. The total cost is dependant on your network Operator.

6. Charges for the Game will be deducted from your available credit time if you are a pre pay customer or appear on your monthly statement if you are a pay monthly customer.

7. The Game is available to O2, Orange, Vodafone, 3, Virgin and T-Mobile customers.

8. The Game is available intermittently for approximately 20 minute duration.

9. The Game is only available to play during allocated hours on TMF.

10. The winner will be the player picked at random from a pool of players who have correctly identified the code. Employees of MTV, Siren, Operator any associated company working or their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion are not permitted to win prizes. MTV reserves the right to verify your eligibility.

11. MTV will contact each game winner by calling the mobile telephone number used to make the winning entry, in order to verify that they can be made the winner of that game. MTV reserves the right to select an alternate winner in the event that any game winner cannot be verified or is not contactable within 48 hours of the end of the game and will make a minimum of three attempts to make contact during that time.

12. Prizes will be fulfilled within 28 days of notification of winning.

13. Each TRAX game has a cash prize and winners acknowledge that they may be required to participate in publicity..

14. The Game is available to all UK residents aged 16 or over.

15. You recognise that the Game may, from time to time, be adversely affected by events outside MTV’s control. MTV will be under no liability for any error in, or delay in, or failure in transmission of the Game.

16. MTV will not be liable to you in any way for failures or delays in the delivery of any text message.

17. Any personal data collected will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and only retained for the purposes of contacting winners.

18.MTV may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. By continuing to play the Game you will be deemed to have accepted the varied terms and conditions, which will be posted on this page. MTV reserves the right to cancel, modify or supersede the Game if, in MTV’s sole discretion, it is not capable of being conducted as specified in these terms and conditions.

19. If MTV believes that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions MTV reserves the right to immediately and without notice withdraw the Game and/or disqualify you from winning any prize and/or playing any Game in the future.

20. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
