Female rapper Trina is apparently to team up with Monica, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and more female artists.

It seems that there has been a resurgence of female rap in recent months, and Trina see now as the time for the ladies to shine.

Speaking to BET.com she said: “I think the females should collaborate more, go on a tour and just make the whole female movement real, real strong.

"We have a new generation and a new wave of females that’s coming out and with the collaborations and with everybody joining forces, I think that’s a beautiful thing. It really enlightens the females that are in the game. It gives awareness to let you know that we are out here."
