ALBUMS

Nicki Minaj – 'QUEEN'

….Well, Queen Nicki took her time but FINALY - 'QUEEN' is here. This one needs no further introduction - check it out NOW!

Gorgon City – 'Escape'

English electronic music production duo Gorgon City return with an album filled with dance music that reaches its arm into all kinds of genres, and brings it to their amazingly produced club-ready vibe. See ‘One Last Song’ (Ft. JP Cooper and Yungen) for a charming bop, and compare it to ‘Hear That’ (Ft. D Double E) for Grime meets Dance. There are flavours of tropical, pop, classic house and so much more in this eclectic album.

Miles Kane – 'Coup De Grace'

After a long wait, indie-pop artist Miles Kane returns with a brand-new studio length album featuring the already successful single ‘Cry On My Guitar’. Many tracks on this album take indie’s form and hark it back to earlier rock stylings to make something new entirely.

SINGLES

Troye Sivan – ‘Animal’

We’re not gonna lie to you: this is an emotional one. The track is a powerful, emotional confession of the intensity of Troye’s love is for his boyfriend Jacob Bixenman. The second half of the song sees a beat change that is sonically very reminiscent of what Frank Ocean accomplished on his latest album Blonde and really goes to show Sivan’s range of abilities, and genuine, honest emotion in songwriting. Needless to say we’ve had this one on repeat since it came out.

J. Cole – Album of the Year Freestyle

It’s believed that ‘Album of the Year Freestyle’ is the lead single off of his upcoming mixtape 'The Off-Season' – so you’re right to get hyped already. The track sees J. Cole spitting a fire freestyle over Nas’ iconic ‘Oochie Wally’ beat – and well it speaks for itself.

Skepta, Suspect, Shailan – ‘Stay With It’

“Stay with it // Too many p****h***s carrying weapons” Skepta potently raps on this brand new track with help from Suspect and Shailan. Together they somehow manage to simultaneously create a catchy track on which they go in, and also hit some poignant notes standing out against carrying weapons.

Twenty One Pilots – ‘Levitate’

The third of their latest release of new singles from their upcoming album 'Trench', this one’s a high-octane track with powerful vocal delivery that runs the course of the track.

WSTRN – ‘Sharna’

You’d be lyin’ if you said this wasn’t something that you’re into. Sorry. Really though – this new WSTRN track ‘Sharna’ is a bit more of a slow-jam for them, laid back slow dance style. Check it out.

Stefflon Don – ‘Pretty Girl’ (Ft. Tiggs Da Author)

Oooooooh it’s a charming bop. It’s infectious. It’s amazing to hear Stefflon go in with strong patois inflection as she does on her verse, and Tiggs will have you dancing from the get go with an incredibly sunshine catchy chorus.

LSD (Sia, Diplo & Labrinth) – ‘Thunderclouds’

The powerful combo of Sia, Diplo and Labrinth prove that they’re more than just the sum of their parts on this brand-new track.

Ray BLK – ‘Run Run’

A refreshing new track from Ray BLK, both sonically and in how genuinely impassioned it comes across. Given her recent singles have erred more on the side of catchy, dance-y tunes, it’s great to hear powerful tracks more akin to ‘My Hood’ on Durt.

ZHU – ‘Coming Home’ (Ft. Majid Jordan)

Majid Jordan give this ZHU track a sensual groove, in a collaboration that was made in heaven. Kick back and just vibe with this one.

Slaves – ‘Photo Opportunity’

Mellow strings and vocals straight from the heart open this new Slaves song before it bursts into action. The contrast between the two goes to sell this grey struggle and sadness, where the explosive frustration the accompanies it is brought out in each eruption of sound.

Bugzy Malone – ‘Run’ (Ft. Rag’n’Bone Man)

Bugzy and Rag’n’Bone Man come together harmoniously on this emotional new track. Bugzy delivers powerful verses that are drove home by Rag’n’Bone Man’s moving choruses. A sadder side more emotional side to grime is one we love to see, don’t sleep on this one.

Elderbrook – ‘Capricorn’

A new dance-pop track from Elderbrook with a unique feel. It’s an incredibly uplifting track that mixes the indie-pop vocal style with electronic flavours to create something wholly of its own style.

Dejour – ‘Proper Touch’

Dejour, hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, delivers a smooth vibe on this new track which initially exploded when it was posted on Soundcloud. You’ll be bopping to this one on dancefloors everywhere before you know it.

Toddla T & Moss Kena – ‘Real Connection’

Toddla T playfully brings Dancehall and House together on this brand new bouncy, charming track. He channels new rising star

Col3trane – ‘Fear & Loathing’ / ‘Britney’

19 year-old Soul R&B artist Col3trane surprises fans with a double track and video drop today. In the run-up to his upcoming BOOT mixtape he delivered this double video with the ethereal emotional track ‘Fear & Loathing’ and the more powerful, intense track ‘Britney’.

One Bit – ‘Between You & Me’ (Ft. Louisa)

Here comes a massive summer sunshine dance bop! Louisa gives this track soul whilst One Bit manages to bring out those groovy, groovy vibes.

That's all for this week!
