Can we all just take a moment to gush over Troye Sivan, please?

The 'Blue Neighbourhood' singer has released ‘The Good Side’, his second new song of the month, and it's a stunning song of heartbreak and healing.

Troye previously revealed that the song is an open letter to an ex-boyfriend "to express apologies and sympathy" following their break-up, and boy is it tough.

"I got the good side of things / Left you with both of the rings," he sings."My fingers danced and swayed in the breeze / The change in the wind took you down to your knees."

The dreamy track is the most acoustic thing Troye has ever released, although the guitars still exist in his dreamy electro-synth universe, making it a song of two extremes in every sense.

Singing of how he got to escape from their break-up by going on tour, he apologises to his ex-lover, singing "I got the good side of you / Sent it out into the blue / The people danced to the sound of your heart / The world sang along to the sound of it falling apart."

'The Good Side' may well be his most cinematic song to date and is a testament to his songwriting, as his direct and honest storytelling punches harder than clunky metaphors that could have been used.

Speaking to Zane Lowe about the song, he said he hopes"that this song, nowa couple of years down the line, is gonna serve as a sort of cathartic experience for the both of us."

The second song from Troye's upcoming second album, and the second'excellent'song from the album.

He is set to perform the lead single 'My My My!' on Saturday Night Live this weekend and we reckon we'll hear this one too.
