Rylan Clark has leapt to the defence of formerX Factorjudge Tulisa in wake of her Britney Spears.

While The Female Boss may have refused to comment on the incident, her pal Rylan has been more than vocal about the events, telling Digital Spy he thinks T was "forced into" her drug fixing scandal, comparing her to Spears.

Clark told the website: "Tulisa is one of my friends and that situation wouldn't have happened unless she was f**king set up, and I think it's disgusting. We've all got a private life, you have, we have, no matter what job you do.

"I think it's the Britney syndrome, I think there's a lot of people out there trying to bring her down and it's a shame. She's done f**k all wrong to anyone else, she just does her job.

"That situation that did arise is purely because she was forced into that situation. If this was America that would be entrapment... at the end of the day the situation is uncalled for."

Following reports that Tulisa was suffering panic attacks after her arrest, Rylan went on to insist that the Young singer is "absolutely fine."

He stated: "Tulisa's been through worse and hopefully I'll get to see her soon. She's a good girl and she don't deserve the s**t that she's got."

Making light of the situation, Clark joked that after finding out about the scandal, he said to her: "That f**ked your Ibiza trip up, didn't it?"
