Tulisa has revealed she is keen to have children, but is worried her tough persona is the reason she has so far struggled to find Mr Right.

In an interview with The Sun's TV Magazine, the Live It Up singer said: "I really want to have kids.

"I'll get married and, because of the way I grew up, having a baby will be a massive deal for me."

But the Female Boss - who [uuid=d0948f23-c469-4621-8ba5-54466412e764]split from Skins actor Jack O'Connell[/uuid] earlier in the year - went on: "Even if I like someone and I'm fluttering my eyelashes they still run a mile. So I wouldn't have dates if I didn't approach people.

"That's why I go for really tough lads because only they can handle it."

The X Factor judge also revealed a vulnerable side, telling the mag: "I spend most of my life being tough, but there is a downside - a lot of people think I'm a bitch. I'm not.

"Every now and again I'll shut myself away and cry. If there's something that's bothering me - like a load of nasty remarks on Twitter - sometimes crying can be the best release."

Tulisa is set to reveal more about her personal life when [uuid=ae5b1d74-d2f7-4189-b0c2-1cbeb178ced0]her autobiography[/uuid], Honest, is released later this year.
