Tupac 'Tried Out For Samuel L Jackson Star Wars Role'

Late rapper almost landed part in flick Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace...

The late Samuel L Jackson.

Recalling a conversation he had with the late hip-hop star in 1996, Clifford told 2Pac-Forum: "Pac found out that I worked for Brian Austin Green, who was on 90210, then he found out I [worked on] some movies, so we always talked about his film career and stuff.

"He was telling me that he was supposed to read for George Lucas and them. They wanted him to be a Jedi. I'm serious."

He added: "Samuel L got Tupac's part. [Tupac] said [to me], 'Old man, keep your fingers crossed'. He said, 'I've got three movies coming up. One of them, I've got to read for George Lucas'."

Despite not landing a role in Star Wars, Tupac did appear in seven movies before his death in September 1996, including Poetic Justice and Bullet.
