Nick Grimshaw joining the X Factor judging panel is the rumour that just won't quit, and it seems he's more than up for the job, as long as a certain country star is sat beside him!

Speaking to Alan Carr on tonight's Chatty Man, the Radio 1 DJ revealed he's well aware that there are lot of names in the ring for the job.

"I don’t know. I feel like everyone’s been up for this job - Robbie Williams, Demi Lovato. I saw this week they were like, Dolly Parton. Who will it be Nick Grimshaw or Dolly Parton? Obviously give it to Dolly, although I would like to do it," he said.

When reminded that both him and Dolly could do it, Nick added: "Yeah come on - me and Dolly."

But has he even spoken to big boss Simon Cowell yet?

"No. I’ve not talked to Simon about it but it’s something that I would love to do," he revealed.
