Twilght Triumphs At Teen Choice Awards

Robert Pattinson and Co win 11 gongs for the vampire flick...

Sunday night saw the Teen Choice Awards come to town in California where Twilight, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears were amongst the big winners of the night.

The event was hosted by the Jonas Brothers and with around 83 million votes cast, vampire flick Twilight proved to be the kids number one choice - receiving a cool 11 gongs including Best Drama, Best Actor and Best actress.

Teen fave Robert Pattinson, who received the Best Actor gong, was joined on stage by Transformers actress Megan Fox to collect their matching Hottie awards, much to the delight of their adoring fans.
Reflecting back on the triumph of Twilight, actor Jackson Rathbone said: "We had a fantastic night. We pulled in 11 — that was amazing".
Britney Spears also proved she has still got it as the comeback queen was crowned with the Ultimate Choice award.
Tween Idol Miley Cyrus, who won six awards for her role in Hannah Montana presented the Circus singer with her gong and told MTV US: "She's a good friend of the family, so I'm just happy to finally show everyone that she's back, and she never went anywhere. She's had a successful career, I'm proud of her…”
Other big winners included teen heartthrob Zac Efron who won two awards including Best Comedy Actor for 17 Again and Beyonce received the best R n B track award for Single Ladies as well as picking up the gong for Choice Music R n B Artist.
MTV Show The Hills was also honoured at the ceremony as it was named the Choice TV Reality show of the year and star Lauren Conrad received the Female Reality award.
The Black Eyed Peas also stole the show with a memorable performance that included the I Gotta Feeling hit-makers crowd surfing.
Taboo also told MTV US: "We just wanted to try something different. Flying in the air over the crowd? I was scared. But it was exciting; we got the opportunity to do something different. It was great."
