"At the moment Twin Atlantic are in a transitional period, where we've closed the chapter on one book of our first album, and we're opening up a second book with our new album," says Barry McKenna, the band's guitarist.

"It's been an unusual year for us," adds lead singer Sam McTrusty.

Giving MTV UK an exclusive sneak peek in to the making of their new album Great Divide, which is set for release on August 18th, see the Glasgow four-piece hit the studio in the video above.

The first single from Great Divide -Heart And Soul -was released earlier this year, while new single Brothers and Sisters precedes the album, with a drop date of August 10th.
