U2frontman Bono had his traditional annual Christmas Eve busking session in Dublin broken up by the police, it has emerged.
The star plays on the streets of the Irish capital every year to raise a bit of cash for the homeless, but this year an overzealous member of the garda ordered him to shut up.
A source told the Daily Star: "Bono has done his festive busking for 20 years to raise money for the homeless, so he was surprised when the police tried to stop him.
"Although he always dresses down for the tradition, it was strange the police failed to spot one of the nation's most iconic men. Bono found the funny side though and the issue was soon resolved."
Not with a night in the cells though, we regret to add.
