U2 Album Nearly Done
And the band have recorded a track for a new charity initiative
U2 are two songs away from completing their latest album which is reportedly called No Line On The Horizon.
The band have been working on the album for some time and previously abandoned sessions with Beastie Boys producer Rick Rubin.
Now their label boss Jimmy Iovine has told Billboard that Bonos boys are nearly there.
He said: "I met with the guys in U2, and they say to me, 'You know what? This album needs two more songs, and it will be exactly what we have in mind.' I go there and I listen, and I agreed with them.
The head of Interscope added: It's a great record, but it deserves the time.
In separate news the band will release an exclusive track through the Red(Wire) charity music service.
The service raises money for Aids charities. Coldplay and The Killers will also donate tracks to the cause.
