The Irish rock giants bitch-slap pre-ceremony favourites Mariah, Kanye and Legend...
U2 have emerged as the big winners at this years Grammy Awards, picking up five gongs on the night.
The Irish super band picked up every award they were nominated for, which included Song of the Year (for Sometimes You Cant Make It On Your Own) and Album of the Year (How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb).
Meanwhile, pre-ceremony favourites Mariah Carey, Kanye West and John Legend, who all led the nominations stakes with eight nods apiece; all went home with three Grammys.
Flying the UK flag, Chemical Brothers picked up two awards - Best Electronic Dance Album (Push The Button) and Best Dance Song (Galvanize).
Gorillaz also picked up a Grammy, they won Best Collaboration with Vocals for their hook-up with De La Soul on Feel Good Inc..
Other winners included Green Day who picked up Record of the Year (Boulevard Of Broken Dreams), and White Stripes who bagged Best Album (Get Behind Me Satan.
It wasnt a great night for everyone though. For every winner, there must be a loser. And last nights losers were Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and Sir Paul McCartney who all went home empty handed. Theyve got enough awards between them anyway.
Last nights Grammy Awards was the 48th annual ceremony.
