Uma Thurman Denies Having Plastic Surgery

When Uma Thurman showed up on the red carpet this week with a dramatic new look the internet was quick to conclude that she'd been under the knife.

However the Kill Bill star has now spoken out to set the record straight - insisting that she was merely trying out a new look, make-up wise.

Speaking on Today on US television, she said: "I know I look weird. I don't know, I guess nobody liked my makeup."

But despite attracting criticism from the likes of Katie Hopkins, the 44-year-old insisted that it was all like water off a duck's back.

"I've been doing this for years and years and years. People say things nice and they say things mean and it's just like 'whatever'.

"You take the good with the bad."

And her make-up artist Troy Surratt has been spilling the beans to People.

He said: "Frankly, I'm quite surprised by the conversation. By now I would have thought that we were all open to and knowledgeable of the role that make-up plays in the world of fashion and particularly celebrity, as a medium for creative self expression.

"I think that women should feel open and free to experiment with different beauty looks - it's only make-up, at the end of the day it all washes off."
