Union J Confirm George Shelley’s Replacement - And You'll Recognise Him From A Certain Talent Show
Hint: X FACTOR.
Back in early March, Union J and George Shelley broke our hearts into little shards of PAIN AND EMOTION by announcing that they were parting ways, with George heading out on his own solo path while Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley carry on with the band.
Well, strap yourselves in and put that cereal down for just a sec, because Union J have now announced who’s replacing the I’m A Celeb runner-up and you might just recognise him - Oh, it’s only Casey Johnson from X Factor mega-group Stereo Kicks.
Congratulations, and WELCOME TO THE PARTY, CASEY.

Speaking to The Sun about joining the group, Casey explained: “I have always wanted to be in a band, not a choir. What I was in before wasn’t like a boyband. Stereo Kicks was more of a choir.”
On the subject of Stereo Kicks, he added: “There wasn’t really any chemistry. There were a lot of egos. Only one of them wished me happy birthday. But oh well, good luck to them.”
He continued on to say: “Union J were always a much bigger band than Stereo Kicks. These guys are more mature and I feel already that this is the type of music I want to do.”
While Jaymi revealed that George does know the boys were drafting in a new fourth member, he admitted that he hadn’t been told exactly who it was.
