Upper Street Wow at First Live Show
We caught up with the Totally Boyband lads who premiered their new tune 'The One' last night
MTVs Totally Boyband group Upper Street drew cheers as they premiered their first tune The One in London last night (September 13).
Taking to the stage at Stringfellows nightclub in sharp black suits the lads looked surprisingly cool and slick despite having a combined age of at least 120.
Dancing was kept to a minimum fortunately - instead Danny Wood, Jimmy Constable, Bradley McIntosh and Dane Bowers chose to let their singing do the, er, talking.
The tune drew whispers of This is actually quite good! from most portions of the crowd too " think pre-'SexyBack' Justin Timberlake with a healthy dollop of vocoder action.
It could well be a chart hit and former 911 man Jimmy told MTV.co.uk theres a lot more where that came from.
We had two and half weeks to write a single but things have gone so well, we ended up writing the album. We really feel like a proper band now, he said.
One-time S Clubber Bradley couldnt contain his excitement either: Ive been getting calls from Jo and Rachel from S Club telling me how happy they are for me.
Rachels been really supportive - one thing she did say though, was, Dont give that Dane Bowers my number!
Totally Boyband premiers this Sunday (September 17) at 9.30pm on MTV and the single hits the shops on October 23.
