Usain Bolt Wants To Bring Back Jamaican Reggae
The sprinter has reached out to footballer Rio Ferdinand for help...
Triple Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has revealed he wants to bring back Jamaican reggae music, asking a certain footballer for help.
The fastest man in the world has told Rio Ferdinand about his plans.
Bolt claimed he believes Rio has the right contacts in order to promote the genre, explaining to the tabloid: "If we do this together we could take it to a new level.
"Not since Bob Marley have we had a musician famous all over the world - and believe me it's nothing to do with lack of talent. Our musicians are as good as our sprinters.
"It just needs people with global fame like me and Rio to move things."
He added that he hopes to promote the genre once he quits sport, revealing: "We could have a side part of the business that organised music videos for artists in Jamaica.
"If Rihanna wanted to film one I'd personally go and pick her up from the airport while Rio was at the beach overseeing the film crew!"
It is thought Usain first got in touch with Ferdinand after he showed an interest in having a trial at Manchester United.
