RE: WHY?
@kimdealslover

Have you ever played 'bullshit bingo' in meetings? We used to do that a lot. It passes the time, and I usually won.

RE: WHY?
No worries, I hope that helps a bit. I've generally learnt in life that most people in middle management are idiots. You have to be a certain type of person to be in that position (like some, but not all, politcians) and that 'type' is not the sort of person I would willingly choose to spend anytime with out of my working day.

A lot of them are self important, jumped up, smug little brownnosers, obsessed with stats, words like 'synergy' and who refer to desks as 'workstations' The type of try hards that no one wants to speak to on any work socials, while they desperately try to be everyone's 'mate'

The best thing this guy came up with once was the idea of 'Musketeer Marketing' the idea of working towards 'a one for all, and all for one' dynamic.

Dear. God.

RE: WHY?
I would say something to be honest, while exercising a bit of discretion.

I had this job once, where in every review I had I was told 'I wasn't doing this right or that right' - which was very frustrating as I was puttin' my all into it, and it seemed that the issue lay more at his lack of managerial experience (ie he had never managed staff before) and that he wasn't really offering any advice or support or explaining what he wanted, the intimation being I wasn't going to be around very long to succeed

Anyway this went on for a while and I kept my mouth shut, until, on one occasion he asked for something which I didn't have to hand and totally overreacted (with pure vitriol) calling me everything under the sun. I didn't do anything to warrant being spoken to like that. And I was f' livid. Anyway, I knew I could let it pass and forget about it (till the next time) but I didn't and I calmly asked him whether he thought it was appropriate to refer to his me ...

RE: What's happened to Beck?
Yeah, I do agree with the what happened bit, although I do like a lot of the songs from those albums. I saw him this year at the 02 Wireless festival, and although he was good, it was a real contrast to when I saw him just below the Foo Fighters on the bill at V, yeeeeears ago. Then he was rockin' out, body poppin' and piroetting across the stage in a mutitude of costumes and with gallons of style. I get the feelin' he takes himself a little bit too seriously these days.

Stephen Graham - Combo - This Is England
Anthony Perkins - Norman Bates - in, er, Psycho.
Michael Madsen - Mr Blonde - Reservoir Dogs
Arnold Schwarzenegger - Cyborg. Sent from the future. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead - The Terminator

RE: Top 5 Psycopaths on Celluloid..
Yes, yes good shouts! Javier was ill. That scene with the colin flippin' in the petrol station. So tense. Leon, props! Loved Leon and Luc Besson. It even had 'Venus As A Boy' on the soundtrack. But then he made The Fith Element. What the fuck was going on there? The only redeeming thing about it was Tricky's cameo, but then he got blown up and the film became properly shit. And how could i miss Patrick Bateman, app while Mary Harron was in production the film company were approaching Oliver Stone to take over. I'm glad that didn't happen, I think he would have totally missed the point, and it would just been a bloodbath.

Mark Kermode's got nuffin' on me.
