About Me

Phubus are an exciting rock band from Leeds. Originally named 3 Days Til 2morrow.They have built up a successful and continually growing global fan-base.The band met at secondary school, covering various 90s Brit Pop anthems and Rock n Roll tunes - until the desire to create new and exciting music took over. They have recently recorded there most energetic and creative songs yet. Managing to portray venomous vocals and spine chilling guitars. After performing round much of London the band have gone from strength to strength. To date they have also played at the Lyric Theatre, The Boarderline, The Dome, and at Josephs Well, The Primrose, The New Roscoe, Carpe Diem, and The Royal Park Cellars in Leeds to name a few. They have achieved overall winners of the Bright Young Things Competition in 2003 playing to a massive crowd at Leeds town hall. Then in 2005 they won a Battle of the Bands contest held by the Rock Garden. This enabled them a headlining slot at the New Bands Tent at the Unity Day Festival in Leeds, Hyde Park. That same year the band won a HMV Showcase competition, which saw their first EP on sale in the Leeds HMV store. This has lead to much radio exposure across the Uk. There has been a wide range of musical influences between the band members. These include Tool, Radiohead, The Streets and Pink Floyd. Band Reviews Sandman Magazine The Phubus - It's Not My Fault Megadeth better be quivering in their metal boots, because The Phubus is on its way. With a powerful display of musical talent and force, their demo shows signs of a band that should take the Leeds music scene to a new level. Combining gripping guitars with aggresive, thoughtful lyrics, The Phubus shows the type of innovation that is lacking in most new bands today. The band creates an extremely unified sound, and the guitar at the end of the title track 'It's Not My Fault' will leave anyone speechless. This is the type of band that can only be played at full volume, to fully appreciate the musical depths that are reached by The Phubus. Their first full-length album is definitely on my wishlist. More more more! Louis Pienaar "Fuck me this band rock. It's clever music real gritty down to the core. If there's such a thing as a musical orgasm then i just had one. I loved the song 'It's not my fault'. I sense that this tune is a winner in every way. People get writing more of them kick arse songs, and i think a mellow acoustic song could work in there as a release. I bow to you with words of respect and dignity." Ed wilson Cameo music reviews [Party hard rock harder] XFM "Its Not My Fault by Phubus is heavy but beauitiful..." Clint Boon Xfm Uploaded on 97.7FM LSRFM.com "Finally a new group with talent to match attitute, a real pro sounding band" Jonny Steen, Manager Leeds Student Radio
