Usher Explains His One Love Manchester Absence
Usher had a good reason, to be fair to him.
Despite being on the bill for Sunday’s One Love Manchester benefit concert, Usher failed to perform. Fans were left a little confused, but now the ‘There Goes My Baby’ singer has provided a good reason for his no-show.
Posting on Instagram, Usher said: “So happy to see that last night's concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails. I would have loved to be there but it was my son's first day at Camp Kudzu, one of the few summer camps for kids living with diabetes.
“This was an important day for him and for myself as a proud father. Stay strong UK.”
Over £2 million was donated during the broadcast of the One Love Manchester benefit concert. This means that the Emergency Manchester Fund – which will be used to support families affected by the attack – has now raised over £10 million.
Ariana Grande’s re-released charity single, ‘One Last Time’, has shot back up in the UK charts into the Number Two slot, and could overtake Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito’.
