20 Things To Do At V Festival’s 20th Anniversary

We've got it covered...

With just a few days to go until we kick off all the action at this year’s V Festival, we thought we’d make your time there a lot simpler by putting together the ultimate V Fest bucket list.

From raving in the Dance Tent, to rocking out to Kasabian, we’ve got it covered.

Here is our definitive guide on what to do at V Festival this year, and as it’s the 20th anniversary, we need you to celebrate in style…

1. Party With Club MTV

If you’re a weekend camper, kick your festival off with the official 20th Birthday Party presented by Club MTV in the Sure Arena on Friday.Last year things got cray-zay and we're back to do it all over again! This year R3wire & Varksi, DJ S.K.T and more will ensure Hylands Park goes mental; while at Weston Park, Majestic and Random Mandem oversee the madness.

2. Obvs Check Out All The Amazing Acts On Our MTV Stage

From our two spectacular headline acts, Olly Murs and Stereophonics, right through to the likes of Bleachers and Ella Eyre, the MTV Stage has it all. We can’t wait to sing ‘Earthquake’ with Labrinth anddance along to Clean Bandit!

3. Re-rewind

LetDJ EZ rekindle your love for old skool garage (like it needs it!)

4. Hope And Pray That Ellie Goulding Turns Up DuringCalvin Harris' Set

Well, they are performing on the SAME DAY! ‘Outside’ just won’t be the same without Ellie’s vocals. Come on guys, it would be rude not to.

5. Sing (And/Or Sob) Along To Sam Smith

Bawl your eyes out as the beautiful Sam Smith performs hits from his amazing debut album 'In The Lonely Hour' on the Main Stage. And if you're feeling particularly lonely, embrace the person next to you whilst belting out 'I'm Not The Only One' (please do ask their permission first, they might not want a sob-monster on their shoulder).

6. Get That House Party Vibe At #OurHouse

The summer’s biggest house party is backand this year’s #OurHouse line up is bigger and better than ever before. If you’re at Hylands Park, you can enjoy the company of Mark Ronson and A-Trak, whereas if you’re at Weston Park you have Jungle to look forward to. At least at this house party there will be no complaints from the neighbours.

7. Dance Like Your Dad To Tom Jones

We can't argue with the fact that 'Sex Bomb' is an absolute TUNEand always will be. It's fine, you definitely don't have to be old to enjoy this absolute legend. You can catch him on Saturday on the MTV Stage (Hylands Park, Sunday at Weston Park).

8. Keep Everything Crossed For Special Guests

Well, it's not quite Taylor Swift's '1989' tour butas always, the V Festival line up is full of some of the biggest artists in the world right now, and with famous artists comes famous friends. We would absolutely LOVE Calvin to bring Taylor Swift out on stage, or for Kasabian to re-enact their legendary Glastonbury performance by welcoming Noel Fielding out with them. We have everything crossed!!

9. Swoon Over Hozier And His Velvety Voice

Not only will we be lost in his dreamy eyes and admiring his ever-flowing locks, we may actually be listening to his songs as well! Hozier will be performing on the Main Stage on Saturday (Hylands Park, Sunday at Weston Park) where you can sing along to the likes of ‘Someone New’ and the absolute belter, ‘Take Me To Church’. We. Can't. Wait.

10. Catch All The New And Exciting Future Headliners

V Festival is known for showcasing up and coming talent, and this year the Sure Arena is the place to be to fulfill all of your new music needs. Look out for the likes of Sinead Harnett, Indiana, MNEK and Tove Lo, all of which will be performingacross the weekend. You never know, in a few years time they might be taking the top spot and headlining the Main Stage.

11. Have All The Lols In The Glee Club Comedy Tent

It's a well known fact that V Festival isn’t just about the music, and with thisThe Glee Club Comedy Tent is back, and the line-up is funnier than ever. This year’s headliners include R-rated Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle and local Essex lad, Russell Kane. These two comedy legends will also be joined by the likes of Seann Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi and LOADS more for guaranteed LOLs.

12. Allow James Bay To Melt Your Heart

Three words,‘Let It Go’ (and no, not the song from 'Frozen').

13. Chill With Your Squad In #OurGarden

Those lucky enough to be selected will get to recharge their batteries (literally) with Virgin Media’s VIP Garden. #OurGarden will be a place to unwind and chill out amongst your busy schedule.

14. Let Stereophonics Make You 'Feel Like The One'

Instead of belting it out atkaraoke downyour local pub (we’ve all been there), you can sing along to ‘Feel Like The One’ and other CLASSIC Stereophonics tunes as they headline the MTV Stage on Sunday (Hylands Park, Saturday at Weston Park).

15. Boogie Into The Night At The Dance Tent

The Dance Tent’s line up is completely insane – Hannah Wants, Mistajam AND Sam Feldt, all in one day?! This is all too much, and that’s just the Saturday line up! (Hylands Park, Sunday at Weston Park). Oliver Heldens will be headlining on the Sunday (Saturday for Weston Park) along with Toddla T and Goldie. It really is too much to handle!

16. Go On The Ferris Wheel At Least Once

(Even if you are petrified of heights...)

17. Play AGame Of Spot The Celeb With Your Friends

With the amount of talent on offer there’s bound to be some celebs knocking around. Just make sure your selfie game is always on point for when the moment arrives. Ready, and...pout!

18. Try And Blag Your Way Into The Louder Lounge

Beyond the crowds of V Festival there’s an exclusive area frequented by celebs, and only a special few have what it takes to gain access. May the odds be ever in your favour.

19. From 'Budapest' To 'Barcelona', Let George Ezra Take You On A Musical Journey

And allow us to remind you of his hilarious side by watching the music video for 'Listen To The Man'. George Ezra + Ian McKellen = comedy gold.

20. And Finally, Pray That Calvin Brings Taylor Swift And Her Whole Squad To The Party…

We can dream, we can dream.
