The Stone Roses & The Killers To Headline V Festival 2012

Reunited rockers The Stone Roses andThe Killers have been confirmed to headline this year's V Festival.
Following in the footsteps of 2011 headliners Arctic Monkeys andEminem, both bands will top the bill at the two day event, which takes place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire during the weekend of the 18th and 19th August.
Ed Sheeran will also take to the V Festival stage, with the likes of Snow Patrolalso set to perform.


Friendly Fires have also been added to the star-studded roster.
Essex boy The Stranglers currently complete the lineup.
Speaking of his return to the event, Murs said: "Coming back to play at V Festival for a second year is fantastic! I've been going to the festival as a punter for years, so performing there is always going to be special - especially on that main stage.
"I'm bringing my full ten-piece band with me this year, it's going to be immense - I can't wait."
V Festival director Simon Moran stated: "We're really delighted with the lineup this year. We have a great mix of artists topping a bill that will see the welcome return to live performance of Manchester's finest export [The Stone Roses], along with some of the biggest acts in the music industry.
"The mix of established and exciting breakthrough acts promises to give festival goers a cracking weekend."
