Van Morrison is well known to many as notoriously moody but now it seems he wants to stop his fans from having fun as well!

The legendary musician battled alcohol addiction in the 70s and 80s and is now teetotal. He has told bosses at the Brighton Dome not to sell any alcohol before or during his performance because it might disturb his singing!

Concert promoter Danny Betesh said: "We have had a policy of no drinks being taken into the hall because certain artists find it off-putting to have the audience moving around."

One Van Morrison fan, chef Harry Fisher, commented on hearing the news, "I know he's got a grumpy reputation but I didn't realise he wants to take the fun out of going to his own gigs".
