Did You Spot This Hilarious Mistake With Vanessa Hudgens' Body Double In 'The Princess Switch'?
The Netflix movie is the gift that keeps on giving.
If like us you cancelled your plans over the weekend to watch 'The Princess Switch' on Netflix then you'll already be just as obsessed with the perfectly cheesy Christmas movie as we are.
And you also might have spotted the hilarious part where they totally forgot to pop Vanessa Hudgen's face on Lady Margaret Delacourt.
Vanessa took on the roles of both Stacey De Novo and Lady Margaret, two gals who notice a totally uncanny resemblance between them when they happen to bump into one another.
So you can understand why things might have got tricky for the filmmakers when both characters were in the same scene, but mostly the whole 'two characters one actress' part is as seamless as the Parent Trap.
However, one particularly observant fan noticed a scene at the end of the movie where they totally forgot to do the princess switch, as Vanessa's body double was clearly visible.
Spoiler alert... In the scene, Stacy is kissing her prince, and in the background you can see her goddaughter Olivia (Alexa Adeosun), Kevin (Nick Sugar) and someone who we guess is supposed to be Lady Margaret, but with a pretty different face.
The eagle-eyed fan took to Twitter to share video evidence of their findings, writing: "Who else saw this?!! hahaha! Watched princess switch today. they missed this out on the editing!! the look on the child's face is so confused anyway, my kids and I loved it! Nothing like a romantic christmas flick to start the holidays!! #PrincessSwitch."
And that's not the only mistake fans have noticed.
More movie lovers took to Twitter to point out other mishaps, with one writing: "Who edited The Princess Switch? In the 'snowball fight' scene, the camera pans out and shows a number of pre-made snowballs in front of one of the character's feet 😂🤣🤣🤣 #ThePrincessSwitch."
Another added: "It's crazy how Stacy and Duchess Margaret not only look exactly alike but also have the same tattoo! 😳 😂 *The fact that they forgot to cover up @VanessaHudgens' ink for the duchess only makes me like #ThePrincessSwitch more. Luckily, I still have another hour left to watch 😍."
Considering this is a film about a girl who goes to a totally made-up country and falls in love with a handsome prince, we're thinking the fact that they have the same tattoo is one of the more plausible parts of the film.
But even with a few slight inconsistencies and an obviously far-fetched storyline, you can't stop us absolutely living for the holiday rom-com.
Still waiting for our invite to Belgravia tbh.
