ANOTHER A-Lister Is Joining Tom Hardy In The 'Venom' Movie
The upcoming Marvel movie sounds epic. Here are all the details.
Despite having been in production for what feels like literal ages, the wheels are finally in motion on Sony's Venom movie. And what is *already* a pretty A-list just got even more starry, with the news that Woody Harrelson is set to join the production.
It's not been confirmed who he will be playing just yet, but reports claim it will be some sort of henchman. Should everything progress as is expected, it will mark a reunion between Harrelson and director Reuben Fleischer, who previously teamed up on horror comedy, Zombieland.
Tom Hardy will be playing the title role in a film that Sony has been quick to point out is NOT a Spider-Man spin-off, despite the character being best known as a nemesis of Peter Parker. According to Hardy, the story will draw on the Lethal Protector comic-book series, in which Venom finds himself attacked by the son of one of his former victims.
Co-starring Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slate, Venom will open in the UK on 5 October 2018.
