See Tom Hardy As You've Never Seen Him Before In The First Trailer For 'Venom'

Finally, after months of speculation, we’ve finally had our first proper look at Tom Hardy’s Venom with the release of a brand new trailer. And from what we’ve seen so far, it looks a lot more faithful to the comic-books than the version we saw back in Spider-Man 3.

Whereas the first trailer shied away from showing the full transformation of Hardy’s intrepid journalist Eddie Brock, this latest version pulls the veil away, showing Venom in all his toothy glory. There’s also a whole lot of ass-kicking going on, as Brock begins to realise just what his new alter-ego is capable of.

Director Ruben Fleischer was the man behind Zombieland, and there’s clearly a pretty broad vein of humour running through this one too. Don’t hold out for a Tom Holland cameo though. Venom is set outside of the MCU, so won’t be linking up with his regular comic-book adversary Spider-Man this time out…

Co-starring Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson, Venom will open in the UK on 5 October 2018.
