Vicky Pattison Admits She 'Still Fancies' Spencer Matthews As She Talks About ‘Friend-Zoning’ Him
Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has opened up about friend-zoning Made in Chelsea lothario Spencer Matthews, admitting that while she still fancies him, she's not 'in the mood'for things to getcomplicated.
ICYMI, the two shared a brief romance, before Vicky (sensibly)decided that she didn’t want to risk being hurt by Spencer, who has abit of a reputation when it comes to relationships.
When the Geordie babespoke to Spencer about her concerns, he reportedly replied: “Vicky, I don’t intend to hurt you.”
Having a chinwag to Fabulous magazine about their dating and why she chose to call things off, Vicky explained: “We had a lot of kissing and a lot of fun, but I think if we’d gone to the next stage it would have made things very complicated and I’m just not in the mood for complicated. Not with someone who wouldn’t, I don’t think, last the test of time.”
Having her say on Spencer’s ‘intend’ comment, she continued: “I spot your loophole Spencer Matthews, and I raise you a f**king friend-zone! Intend, mate? If you want to change me mind, you’d best use a stronger word than intend!
“I still fancy him. Spencer’s a very handsome man and he’s incredibly charming and intelligent.
“But sex only feels necessary when it’s got all the trimmings – when it goes hand in hand with cinema nights, meals out and meeting each other’s families. So, no, I haven’t had sex in ages. I’m not interested in no-strings attached. I like me strings, thanks very much. I’m a big fan of strings. Vicky Pattison: string enthusiast!”
Vicky later said she was 'very open' to the idea of being in a relationship, but was 'mindful and wary' of both his reputation and her image, which she's worked hard on since her time on Geordie Shore.
She explained: "So I told him I really liked him, but I liked meself more. And that I’d worked too hard to be what I want to be to have him set us back.”
