Vicky Pattison Has A Poignant Message To Share About The Power We Give Instagram
The Geordie lass is warning fans not to be taken in by "contrived" posts.
Vicky Pattison has come forward with an inspiring message about how we should all stop placing so much importance on the amount of Instagram likes and followers we manage to rack up.
The former Geordie Shore lass is first to admit that she enjoys documenting her life on the social-media app - but explained that the images people project don't necessarily reflect what their lives are like behind closed doors.
Let's get checking out a bunch of the Geordie Shore lasses most incredible transformations to date...
With today being Blue Monday - AKA the day people are most likely to be feeling down about their choices - Vicky took to Instagram to reassure fans that they should pause and reflect on all they've achieved.
The image itself is a screenshot of an uplifting message, reading: "Don’t let Instagram fool you. There are people with only 10 likes who have plenty of friends, and people with 100+ likes that are incredibly lonely. There are couples that appear extremely happy yet are in dysfunctional relationships.
"There are girls who over-expose their bodies yet feel the most insecure. There are guys who flaunt lavish lifestyles yet struggling with debt. Things aren’t what they always appear to be. Social-media has created and outlet for narcissistic behaviour, where self-worth is determined by the amount of likes received. Just remember appearances are just that, appearances."

Vicky captioned the upload with a comment calling for fans to value the important things in life rather than measuring their popularity by how many likes a filtered selfie coupled with a particularly witty caption receives.
"I thought with this supposedly being the bluest Monday of the year we could all do with a little truth... a little realism to let you know everything isn’t always as it seems and you’re doing just fine," she began.
"Don’t buy in to these lifestyles, the images that people project - even I myself am guilty of it at times... Just don’t measure yourself against an unrealistic and most probably contrived and untrue representation.
Vicky finished off her message with the wise words: "Have courage, be kind, chase your dreams, travel, love your family and friends openly, do you, try not to be a knob and most importantly never, EVER compare yourself to anyone else. Have a great day."
Food for thought.
