Vicky Pattison Has A Word Of Warning For Anyone Who Uses Social Media
The former Geordie Shore lass has come through with some pearls of wisdom
Vicky Pattison has pointed out that not everything people see online is a true reflection of reality and has encouraged her fans to see beyond a cookie-cutter projection of what life should be like.
The former Geordie Shore lass has taken to Instagram to announce that anyone who uses social-media should be aware of its drawbacks and revealed that she herself has learnt to value “goodness” over “perfection” in recent years.
Now get checking out the time Vicky Pattison underwent blood injections for traction alopecia...
In a text quote that she borrowed from a friend, the message reads: “Instagram has ruined a whole generations expectations of relationships, work, and everything in between. It has made ‘perfect’ look normal. So now ‘good’ has become disposable.”
The 30-year-old argued that we could all benefit from taking a step back from social-media and captioned the image: “Never ever throw away ‘good’ in pursuit of the image ‘perfection’... A good man, a good job, a good heart, a good body- they’re all worth so much more than a social media projection.
“Have a great week everyone 💕 (Ps I stole this from my pal @stephrobbie... she’s so wise 😂💙)”
This comes as Vicky penned a beautiful message in honour of her one-year anniversary with fiancé John Noble, joking that she can’t wait to raise a team of “ugly” babies and rowdy pets together.
“Love is giving someone the power to destroy you... But trusting them not to 💍💕” she wrote. “Happy anniversary babe 🖤”
As much as we love Instagram, there’s no denying that Vicky has a valid point here. Let us know your thoughts on this with a tweet @MTVUK.
