Vicky Pattison Reveals Work Pressures Led To Secret Meltdown: I Was Crying All The Time
Luckily she's back to her old self.
Vicky Pattison has opened up about previously suffering a private meltdown, which led to her having to seek professional help.
The 28-year-old Queen Of The Jungle (AND OUR HEARTS) revealed in an updated version of her autobiography ‘Nothing But The Truth,’ that after leaving Geordie Shore she took on too much work to cope with.
She wrote: “Everyone who was working on Judge [Geordie] was worried I was heading for a breakdown because I was working too hard – simple as that.
“We were filming the show five days a week and on the other two days I was doing PAs, working on my first novel All That Glitters, doing press days and photo shoots and anything else that came my way.”
The pressure of not seeing her family eventually took its toll on the star, leading to her barely sleeping.
“I was crying all the time,” she explained. “I wasn’t sleeping properly – if at all – and I was exhausted. I was so overwhelmed.
"I wanted success but hadn’t seen my family in weeks and I had no balance in my life.”
It all became too much for Vicks when taking part in series three of Ex On The Beach – but luckily her MTV family were there to look after her when she fell apart off camera.
"I was careering towards a meltdown and it happened the minute I arrived at Ex.
“I sat in the car sobbing with a sound guy and some of the crew who had all known me for a while.
"They were amazing and everything came spilling out and I sobbed and sobbed.”
We’re just glad you’re back to your old self again, lass!
