Victoria Beckham On London Store Opening
Pop star-turned-fashion designer explains that 'the time is now'...
Victoria Beckham has been discussing her decision to open a store selling her own clothing range in London.
The former Spice Girls star is setting up shop in Dover Street, Mayfair, and has explained her rationale to Women's Wear Daily.
"I think the time is now because I know my customer," she said.
"[The location is] young and cool. There are great galleries in the area. There's Dover Street Market directly opposite of us, which is not a bad thing."
VB has also opened an office in New York City, and says she regards it as key to her business success.
"I'm taking my business very seriously," she explained. "To take it to the next level, I need a team on the ground living and breathing everything here in America."
She also insisted that she always believed she would succeed as a fashion designer.
"I did believe in creative visualisation and I always had high hopes. I believed what I was doing and I think I have a strong point of view. I always hoped.
"I like to look at the big picture and I like to build things in the right way. I never went into this thinking that it would be a flash in a pan."
Posh and Becks were on the cover of French Vogue late last year.
