What Are The Victoria’s Secret Angels Eating This Thanksgiving?

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is just five days away, but with many of the Angels being US born and bred – or residing in America – the girls still gotta get involved in today’s Thanksgiving feast. Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson shared the secrets of their Turkey Day plans with Vogue – and yes, there will be all the trimmings.

“I actually cook the turkey—last year was my first year making it,” says Lily, who is spending Thanksgiving at her Tennessee farmhouse with Kings Of Leon husband Caleb Followill and family. “Growing up, I always did the mashed sweet potatoes and marshmallows. My mother-in-law makes casseroles—those are big things in the South.”

However, Lily does address the need to hold back slightly, to ensure she’s looking positively Angelic for Tuesday’s lingerie fashion show.

“This year, the Victoria’s Secret show is five days after Thanksgiving, and we have to have a little bit of a healthier Thanksgiving than we usually would… Usually I don’t think I need to make healthy things, but this year I do—and I love cauliflower so it is fine,” she says, addressing the cauliflower mash she plans to make, as her alternative to mashed potatoes.

Meanwhile, for Lindsay Ellingson, Thanksgiving has extra meaning this year. “Last year on Thanksgiving, my husband proposed to me, so this year will be really special—it’s kind of our anniversary,” she tells Vogue.

“My husband and I are going to fly on Thanksgiving night to London and as soon as we arrive have fish and chips and a Guinness—that’s going to be our Thanksgiving this year. So I’m super excited to change it up, travel, share a holiday with him, get acclimated to the time zone, and get really rested for the show.”
