Vin Diesel Says Fast & Furious 8 Will Be 'From Paul Walker'

The actor made a touching tribute to his late co-star at the Movie Awards, and wants to continue honouring his name...

After the global success of Fast & Furious 7, Vin Diesel has revealed he's already thinking about the next instalment of the franchise following Paul Walker's death.

“The fact that the world embraced it and allowed it to be Paul’s legacy, it’s just a beautiful thing,” Diesel told MTV News backstage at the Movie Awards on Sunday (April 12)

[related]Despite not yet confirmed by Universal Pictures, given the record-breaking box office figures it's more than likely a Furious 8will be made.

“Paul used to say that [‘Fast & Furious’] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when you’re brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass,” Diesel said.

“So, if fate has it — fate, F8 — then you’ll get it. ‘Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.'”

While Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson revealed heis also up for reprising his role, as he chatted to MTV News at the awards.

“I talked to Vin today — we had a nice discussion — and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for ‘Furious 8,’ we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, yes, but also in terms of story and character.”
