Vin Diesel has given a much-anticipated update on his xXx return.

The Fast & Furious actor has revealed that filming is set to begin soon for the third film of the action series in the Philippines.

"I am going to do the next xXx which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I'm very, very, very excited about," he told Collider.

Diesel previously starred as Cage in the first film back in 2002, however Ice Cube took his place as Darius Stone in xXx 2: State of the Union.

Vin Diesel also plays Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, which is out in the UK July 31.
