Catfish host Nev Schulman knows a thing or two about relationships. But he, like many, was once an impressionable, love-hungry high school student, and his first sexual encounter played out accordingly.

In honor of MTV’s new docu-series, Virgin Territory, Nev shared the story of his first time.

The deed was done during his sophomore year of high school, when he had eyes for an older gal.

Nev revealed that he threw a party while his parents were out of town in the hopes that his crush would show up before the keg was tapped, but she never made it… or so he thought.

“The next day, she texted me and said ‘Hey, I came to your party last night, but it was so crowded and crazy that I couldn’t get in…what are you doing tonight?’” Nev recalled.

“So she came over, we had dinner on the roof of my building, which was kind of cute and romantic.”

We all know what happened next, but sadly for Nev it wasn't perfect.

Though Nev reports the act, itself, was pleasant enough, its aftermath came with a tough lesson.

"I remember feeling pretty good about it - it lasted longer than I assumed it would… my expectations were probably very low.

"But it was kind of a bummer because I very quickly learned that the girl I had lost my virginity to had just wanted to take my virginity, as she would do with a number of other young guys from my school,” he lamented.

Nev might wish he'd waited for someone "more meaningful," but we've definitely heard worse stories.
