Bruno Mars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis For 2013 MTV VMAs

Bruno Mars and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are the latest names confirmed to perform at the 2013 MTV VMAs live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 25.

 

The Treasure hitmaker will perform his brand new single from his multi-platinum album Unorthodox Jukebox for the first time on TV, with his stint on stage marking his third VMA performance. 

 

As well as performing at the bash, Mars is nominated for four VMAs, including Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Male Video for Locked Out of Heaven and Best Choreography for Treasure.  

 

 

Fresh from their show-stopping performances at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards and mtvU Woodie Awards, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis make their VMA debut this year where they will perform their anthem for marriage equality, Same Love from their GOLD certified debut album The Heist.

 

This marks the first time an artist has performed at all three of MTV's major music events in a single calendar year. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis received six VMA nods (tying with Justin Timberlake) including Video of the Year for their smash-hit Thrift Shop.

 

Mars and the duo join previously announced performers Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke, while One Direction will be on hand to present a Moonman on the night.
