Furtado & Common For VMAs

Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes and rapper Common have all been added to the line-up for this years MTV Video Music Awards.

Our Las Vegas ceremony takes place this September 9 hosted by Timbaland. Promiscuous Furtado is up for Best Female while fellow performers Gym Class Heroes have 2 nominations.

UK acts up for the moonman gongs are Rehab singer Amy Winehouse- whos nominated for three- and Lily Allen.

However its the big American names that lead the list with Beyonce and Justin Timberlake both bagging seven nominations-while Kanye and Rihanna have five each.
