Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Lead 2013 MTV VMA Nods!

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis dominate the nominations for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
 
JT and the rap duo have bagged six nods each, with Timberlake named in the coveted Video of the Year category, as well as being in with a chance of winning Best Male Video, Best Pop Video and Best Editing for Mirrors.
 
 
Suit & Tie, his comeback track with Jay-Z, has also secured nominations for Best Collaboration and Best Direction.
 
Fresh from their show-stopping performance at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are tied with JT, also scoring six nods.
 
They are are up for  Video of the Year for their smash hit Thrift Shop, Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Editing for Can’t Hold Us featuring Ray Dalton, while Same Love received a nod for Best Video with a Social Message.

Bruno Mars continues his hugely successful VMA run by bagging four nods, where he will take on JT in the Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Male Video categories, with Treasure also earning him a nomination in the Best Choreography field.
 
Pink, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and 30 Seconds To Mars are each up for three Video Music Awards, while Taylor Swift, Drake and Calvin Harris have also racked up notable nominations. 
 
This year, the VMA for Best New Artist has been re-named Artist to Watch presented by Taco Bell®, with Twenty One Pilots, Zedd, Austin Mahone, The Weeknd and Iggy Azalea all in with a chance of winning. 
 
 
Previous Best New Artist VMA winners have included iconic names in music such as Eurythmics, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and One Direction. 
 

The 2013 MTV Video Awards will be shown on MTV from 8pm on Monday August 26.
