Cyrus has faced criticism for her raunchy performance at the ceremony, which saw her twerking up againstRobin Thicke in a nude PVC bikini.

 

Miley has since defended her stint on stage on Twitter, writing: "Smilers! My VMA performance had 306.000 tweets per minute.  That's more than the blackout or Superbowl!  ‪#fact‬."

 

She also posted a number of quotes from Rolling Stone, which read: "Miley was the one star in the room who truly understood what the MTV Video Music Awards are all about!
