Kendrick Lamar's 2017 MTV VMAs Performance Was LIT (Literally)

Kendrick Lamar opened up the 2017 MTV VMAs with a performance that was, quite literally, on fire.

The star - nominated for eight Moonpersons - set fire to the stage, dancers and a sword-wielding ninja as he blazed out a stunning medley of his tracks 'DNA' and 'Humble'.

It was a barnstorming performance that opened the show in style, and demonstrated around 8293 reasons why Lamar's the most nominated performer of the night.

As if Lamar's rhymes weren't hot enough, he was soon joined on stage by a ninja, with a sword, ON FIRE. Oh, and then there was the small matter of a troupe of backing stunt people climbing up and down a rope ladder also on fire.

Amazing.
