Stars React To VMA Nominations
GaGa thanks her 'bad kid's but Eminem is a bit disgruntled...
With the MTV VMA nominations release this week, the stars have been expressing their gratitude and, in some cases, their anger at the awards.
Lady GaGa who has earned a record breaking16 nominations for the awards tweeted: ‘13 VMA noms lilmonsters. Breakin records+breakin rüles. I love you, you Bad Kids are a part of me. PAWS UP!'
Jason Derulo also praised GaGa for her nominations.
The singer, who joined GaGa on her recent 'Monster Ball' tour, described the honours as 'well-deserved' and said that he believes she works harder than most other artist.
'I think that's incredible. I mean, 13 nominations, I think that's the most in history. I'm really excited for her. I think she deserves it, like, to the fullest extent,' he told MTV News.
Ke$ha, who scored 3 nominations Tweeted: ‘holy s**t!!!!!!!!3 VMA nominations...!!! i dont even know what to say. im so grateful and thankful and stunned and excited.’
30 Seconds to Mars front-man Jared Leto said that he was "blown away" to learn about his band's VMA nominations.
His band have been nominated for four awards, including 'Best Rock Video' and 'Video Of The Year' for their song 'Kings And Queens'.
Jared told MTV News: 'I was completely blown away. It was so unexpected that my first reaction was, Holy f**king s**t f**k f**k f**k!' We had no idea this was the way these things worked. It was the furthest thing from our minds. And then someone sent me the list of artists we're nominated with, and we couldn't believe that either. It really is exciting.'
But it’s not all good news from everyone as even though Eminem may have racked up eight MTV Video Music Award nominations, the rapper is a little bit disgruntled about the actual date of the show.
'Apparently, MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs. F me, right?!?!'
'I mean, I’ll be there, but don’t expect me to be nice about it.'
There’s always one!
The MTV Video Music Awards air September 12.
