Travis Scott Brings James Blake And Reminds Everyone That Astroworld Is Still No.1 At 2018 VMAs Performance
Throwing chart-beef shade at Nicki??
Travis Scott delivered an overwhelmingly spectacular performance at the 2018 VMA awards, performing a medley of tracks from ASTROWORLD and diving from high energy rap to bringing on James Blake to perform his ethereal vocal segments.
The US rapper's new album ASTROWORLD has been No. 1 in the charts since it debuted two weeks ago and, in celebration, the show was HUGE in scale, with an absolute tonne of extras and dancers. It truly was something to behold.
Travis Scott's show consisted of a medley of his new ASTROWORLD tracks, 'Stargazing', 'Stop Trying To Be God' and 'Sicko Mode' whilst girlfriend Kylie Jenner looked on from the audience, dancing in her seat. La Flame was absolutely FILLED with energy, running aroun the stage and getting the crowd so hyped.
He brought on James Blake as a surprise guest to help him in performing 'Stop Trying To Be God', giving an ethereal contrast to the rest of the hype set.

At the end of the performance he briefly paid his respects to the late soul singer Aretha Franklin, who passed just 5 days ago.
In a juicy development, given the beef that's been brewing between him and Nicki Minaj (or is that Nicki Minaj and EVERYONE) after she took aim on him, Kylie, Stormi and Spotify for Queen not dethroning Astroworld as no.1 Album - he shouted "Astroworld Still Number 1!"
Uh-oh, is this just adding fuel to the fire, maybe even a potential clap-back at what Minaj has been saying?
