Britney Spears pays homage to Madonna and Michael & Janet Jackson in her new video for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

The new promo see's the Pop Princess party with her mates while the music interlaces Spears' latest hit I Wanna Go with Slave 4 U, Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation and Madonna's Everybody.

At the end of the video, there’s a teaser reading A Tribute to Britney Spears.

In other Britney news, Spears has responded to her two VMA nominations for Best Pop Video and Best Choreography for her hit Ke$ha-penned song Till the World Ends saying :

"Oh my goodness, I'm completely flattered," Spears said. "That is amazing! Thank you so much for telling me. That's awesome!"

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will hit MTV in the UK on Monday, 29th August at 9pm.
