With so many before, during and afterparties, it seemed like Miami had only one thing on the brain: having it large.
48 hours before the 2004 MTV Video Music Award night, everyones main concern was getting to Usher's star-studded private yacht party. Then, on the night before the big show - the mission was getting even more impossible.
Paris Hilton threw a late-night bash to honour fashion photographer David LaChapelle; Jay-Z, still in a San Tropez state of mind, thought his preferred mode of transportation - a yacht - would make a perfect location for a private reception; and P. Diddy invited 50 guests to his Miami mansion. Bruce Willis, Hilary Duff and Busta Rhymes came to say hello.
As the show was over, Outkast threw a party at the Mansion, P. Diddy held another extravaganza at the Ice Palace and Jadakiss celebrated going platinum at Crobar. Even D-12 had people lining up for their post-show pool parrrrr-tay at the Delano.
And then theres LL Cool J. He wasnt providing any entertainment, but was still virtually present at most of the other A-list celebs parties. A special promotional team have shown up to most of the events and put the word out about his upcoming DEFinition LP. The team, consisted of very presentable girls, had all worn mini TV screens across their chests, playing L's Headsprung video.
