VMAs: Taylor Talks Kanye!
The 19-year-old tells MTV News what she made of the invasion debacle…
Taylor Swift has spoken exclusively about the moment Kanye West invaded her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
Talking backstage to MTV News, the 19-year-old revealed that she was originally excited when she saw Kanye jump on-stage, but that soon changed when the rapper opened his stupid gob.
“It’s been a crazy night hasn’t it?” said Swift.
"Well, you know, I was up there and I was standing there and I saw Kanye up on the stage," she explained. "I was really excited ... and I kind of wasn't excited anymore."
Not wishing to say much more about Kanye making a giant tit of himself, Swift went on instead to talk about how lovely it was of Beyonce to invite her on-stage for another go at her acceptance speech.
"It was just so wonderful and so incredibly classy of her,” said Taylor of Beyonce’s gesture, “and just gracious and wonderful to let me say something.
“She's just been my hero and one of my idols ever since I was little. She's a great person."
