Young The Giant To Perform At 2011 MTV VMAs

Young The Giant have been announced as the latest act to perform at the Lil Wayne at the ceremony on August 28.

Speaking of their upcoming performance at the star-studded bash, the band said in a statement: "We are extremely excited and absolutely honored to be asked to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards."

They continued: "It will be without a doubt, a monumental experience for us and one we will never forget. We've watched countless VMAs, and to have the opportunity to perform this year alongside some of the biggest artists in the world will be truly amazing. We can't wait!"

After gaining notice in 2009 by winning a contest to open for Kings Of Leon, YTG will bask in their brightest spotlight to date. Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.

Neon Trees andIncubus, will also play at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago this weekend.
