Vybz Kartel Found Guilty Of Murder

Dancehall star Vybz Kartel has been found guilty of murder following a lengthy trial in his native Jamaica.

The 38-year-old singer, songwriter and businessman - whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer - was convicted along with three others of the killing of Clive "Lizzard" Williams.

Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John were all also found guilty of murder, while a fifth co-defendant, Shane Williams, was acquitted.

Palmer's lawyers Tom Tavares-Finson and Christian Tavares-Finson insist that their client was framed by police.

The 65-day trial in the longest running criminal case in Jamaica's circuit court system.

Sentencing will take place on 27 March.
