We Are Scientists: “It’s All About Leeds!”
EXCLUSIVE! The energetic Californians praise New Yorkshire at Leeds show...
We Are Scientists showed lots of love for Leeds last night (April 9) as the Californian three piece brought their Benevolent Monarch Tour to the Leeds Met.
As they entered the stage, W.A.S. told the crowd that Leeds is where its at: Forget Glasgow and Manchester, said singer Keith Murry its all about Leeds! And while the crowd yelped in excited agreement, the Scientists introduced a fittingly titled track: This ones called Yorkshire.
The Scientists came up with the goods, playing through all the gems from their Love and Squalor album. And after clarifying that bass player Michael is the bearded piece of ass of the band, they ended their set with a particularly electrifying rendition of The Great Escape.
Support on the night came from local heroes Forward Russia, who exploded all over the stage with their trademark screamo-rock songs and impressive haircuts.
We Are Scientists play Birmingham tonight.
