#MTVFestivalSeason: Ben Howard And Bjork Bring The High-Class Noise To Wilderness

Festival season continues in Oxfordshire…

Over the course of the summer, there’s a festival for pretty much everyone, right?

While Reading & Leeds is typically reserved for school leavers celebrating their GCSE results, and Glastonbury for like, legit celebs, Wilderness has its own niche of uber cool twenty-somethings mixed with families.

Based in Oxfordshire, 2015’s four-day event not only had beautiful stages and sets, but also Michelin star food and wellbeing workshops held by The Sanctuary.

Yep, seriously. How amazing.

But we’re not here to talk about all that, sadly. Let’s talk music.

Those who made it to Wilderness this year must’ve felt pretty lucky, considering Bjork cancelled the rest of her upcoming tour and festival dates -and so Friday night rolled around with her taking the stage in a typically incredible outfit.

Bjork’s set wasn’t quite filled with old hits, and was mostly used to showcase her new material from Vulnicura, her latest album.

It’s a dark, emotional record, and her voice was SO on point. Still, nothingcould ever beas great as this pink firework and flare action at the end…

This is what our dreams look like.

Closing the festival on Sunday, Ben Howard may not have had pink fireworks, but he still managed to put on a right show.

His brooding, soulful set was the perfect way to end such a chilled out weekend, and while most festivals will leave you needing a week off work to recover afterwards, Wilderness makes you feel like you’ve just been to a musical detox retreat (as long as that detox involves cider).
